The book is well illustrated with photographs and graphics and is a useful reference on CPO history. Jim Leuci is a retired U. S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer who served in the Navy for 42 years (1974-2016). He served as a naval historian from November 2005 through May 2016 when he retired.
